Molly Rosen

Molly Rosen is the creator of The Soft Core — a cult-favorite Substack and live storytelling salon exploring creativity, intimacy, and the raw edge of personal narrative. Recent guests have included Chloé Cooper Jones, Melissa Febos, Ricki Lake, Megan O’Neill, and a range of boundary-pushing creatives, entrepreneurs, and radical thinkers committed to shaping culture on their own terms.

Molly Rosen’s essays on motherhood, family dynamics, and feminist identity appear regularly in The Cut. Her first book was published by Random House. Her forthcoming book, My Other Ride Is Your Mom, is an exploration of single motherhood, '90s fashion in retrospect, and the messy, emotional politics of cancel culture and parasocial outrage.

She’s the founder of the Brooklyn Writers Collective, a global storytelling community born in the basement of her Williamsburg apartment and now home to thousands of artists, seekers, and secret geniuses Zooming in from Belize to Belfast. Her students have published in The New York Times, Vogue, New York Magazine, sold books to major houses, and wrestled with the stories that once kept them in cages.

In 2012, she launched Stone Fox Bride, a wedding brand that disrupted the bridal industry with witchy glam, viral ring captions, and crazy campaigns featuring Cass Bird, Jemima Kirke, Paloma Elsesser, and more. Fast Company named her one of the Most Creative People in Business.

She holds degrees from Brown and The New School and lives in Woodstock with her daughters.
